All of our therapy approaches are available in person at our Warrington and Cheshire locations, and via online therapy across the UK.

What does therapy with us feel like?

Private Therapy: Cheshire & Online

We want you to feel comfortable and safe to speak about anything you need to. You do not need to arrive with the right words or a clear explanation, a clear explanation, or a sense of what therapy should look like; there is no right or wrong way to use your session. We will find our way into it together.

Our rooms are designed to feel homely rather than clinical. A warm, unhurried space where, before your session begins, we will make you a drink of your choice. If you choose a coffee, we freshly grind the beans to make your coffee how you like it and so that the rich scent of freshly brewed coffee fills the room as you settle in. Therapy can be hard, but we want coming to Springdale to feel like time for you; a moment for you to settle, to breathe, and to arrive fully before the work begins.

Sessions are typically 50-60 minutes, led by you and designed around you. There is a loose structure, but flexibility is everything. We never want structure to come at the expense of you feeling fully heard. The duration and frequency of therapy depends entirely on your needs and goals. See more about our ethos here.

One of the genuine benefits of private therapy at Springdale Psychology is the breadth of expertise under one roof. Our clinical psychologists, psychotherapists, and counsellors are trained across multiple models, allowing your support to be authentically tailored to you rather than shaped around a single approach. And all clinical work is delivered under consultant clinical psychologist oversight via registered and accredited professionals.

Understanding a neurodivergent mind: When you think differently, so do we!

Neurodiversity-informed therapy at Springdale Psychology, Cheshire — ADHD and autism support for adults and children in Warrington. autism therapy cheshire. autism coaching. adhd coaching cheshire

Springdale Psychology is an established north west provider of specialist neurodiversity support, for both those awaiting or considering assessment and those who have already received a diagnosis of ADHD or autism (ASD). If you are searching for an autism therapist near me, autism counselling in Cheshire, or ADHD therapy or coaching in Warrington, our team understands the unique intersection of neurodiversity and mental health so that we can help you feel understood whilst learning to understand yourself.

We offer pre-diagnostic therapy for those on the waiting list for assessment, helping manage anxiety, low mood, or burnout while clarity is still being sought. Post-diagnostic therapy helps individuals and families make sense of a diagnosis, develop practical strategies, and build a life that works with their neurodivergent profile, rather than against it.

Our neuroaffirming approach means we understand and respect how autism and ADHD can interact with different areas of life, or even with the therapeutic process itself. We take our time to learn about you, how you engage with sessions and processes information. Our clinicians adapt their approach to you.

As a practice that also provides specialist ADHD and autism assessment, we are uniquely placed to offer integrated support, from initial assessment through to post-diagnostic therapy, without the need to transfer between providers.

Therapy classes & membership programme

In addition to our one-to-one support, we are developing a new therapy education and skills programme, designed as an ongoing, community-based alternative to short-term post-diagnostic sessions.

They offer a space to:

  • Learn how things actually work in the brain
  • Understand your strengths and patterns
  • Develop practical strategies that fit you
  • Experience a neuroaffirmative environment
  • Build confidence, insight, and self-compassion

The programme will follow a membership-style format, allowing you to attend rolling sessions each month, access resources, and continue building skills at a pace that suits you.
